14-lump tumor in the colon healed - Maxie Gomes, Mumbai

“SURELY HE HAS BORNE OUR INFIRMITIES AND CARRIED OUR DISEASES” (Is.53:4)

On 27 June, on the feast day of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, I learnt that I had gastro problem and later started losing blood in the stool. My daughter-in-law then took me to a gastro specialist and got my colonoscopy test done. I was diagnosed of having colon cancer, which was in the initial stage. My daughter in law and the doctor kept it a secret. Later when I learnt about it, I broke down and in the midst of my brokenness, I heard a voice telling me, “Do not fear for I am with you.” I got courage hearing this and said to myself “If God is for me, who can be against me.” I then informed my prayer group and Divine Prayer Tower to pray for me including all my friends and dear ones. On 1 October 2010, the first Friday of the month, Fr. Joshi announced that the Lord is touching and healing three people who will be undergoing an operation in the following week. My friend claimed the healing for me. Keeping all my trust in the Lord, I underwent an operation on 4 October and it was a success. The tumor consisted of 14 lumps which were sent for biopsy. The biopsy reports said that those lumps were not malignant. The doctor however, prescribed no medicines and no chemo. I therefore thank and praise the Lord for uniting my family and for all the wonders that He has worked for me in my life. “For nothing is impossible with God” (Lk 1:37)
