Prayer of the Month

The tumour was separated and left suspended - Glen Reuben, USA

I am from Mangalore but living abroad, in USA for the past twenty years. I had brain tumor. From the time it began years earlier, it started showing strange symptoms: thickness in the head, blackouts when rising from seated position. In 1986 I went into depression and then I was left with little option but to turn to God. I have had to hear Him instruct me and walk accordingly for the past twenty years. He had shown me His miraculous power dynamically and led me through this suffering path. In June 1987 I used to hear splitting sound in the brain and sudden loss of feelings. Over the years the hollowness in the head increased and in 1993 the tumor was diagnosed, which my doctor suggested, should not be operated upon but be treated with medication. I went to another hospital at Trivandrum to get a second opinion where the doctor advised an operation. But the surgery was constantly being postponed due to infections or sinusitis or machine breakdown etc. I spent over a month in the hospital. At that time the head nurse suggested to me to go to DRC and participate in a retreat. I came here at the end of January 1994. I found everything was dynamic and powerful but nothing dramatic happened to me here. After I went back to Trivandrum, within a week, on 7 February 1994 the surgery was done. It was later told to me by the same head nurse that the doctor and his team were amazed to find that the tumor was clearly separated and left suspended for easy removal. The surgery was done swiftly and successfully. Although the rest period for such a surgery is two full weeks I walked out in five days! I also was then the only patient not requiring laser post tumor surgery. In the fourth week of January 2011 I attended a thanksgiving retreat at DRC where the Lord restored my eye sight. Now I do not require spectacles which I used to wear for twenty two years. Praise the Lord.
