Welcome to Divine Retreat Centre!
The Divine Retreat Centre is blessed to receive you into the portals of our website, as we have been receiving God’s people over the last three decades at our retreat centre, week after week. The arms of God are ever open and welcoming to those who seek His face and His healing touch. Jesus as He walked this earth assured the multitudes who approached Him, “I will not send anyone who comes to me empty handed” (John 6:37). Indeed, everyone who came to Him experienced new life. As the Lord ascended, He commissioned His disciples to continue His mission in the power of the Holy Spirit. Under the direction of the Catholic Church, the Divine Retreat Centre has been graced by the Holy Spirit to be the open arms of the Lord to receive and convey the peace and healing of the Lord Jesus. We pray that as you browse through these pages, the healing Word and renewing power of the Lord will encourage and inspire you.

The Holy Father calls for a Lenten journey of conversion and freedom, inspired by the theme of liberation from slavery. He urges us to: Open our eyes to reality. Challenge personal idols. Practice true love. Make communitarian decisions. Embrace joyful hope.
Despite challenges, despair isn't fitting for believers. Find hope in faith and the Holy Spirit, who fuels joy even in suffering. Be a "paraclete," offering comfort and hope to others, just like the Spirit does for you. Enter the New Year as a missionary of hope, spreading joy instead of despair.
Christmas is the celebration of God's uncalculated generosity towards the helpless and ungodly. St Paul gives an apt description of this mercy. "The love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us. For Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed time for the ungodly" (Rom 5:5,6). The birth, life and death of Jesus confirm in our hearts the abundant mercy of God.
Fr Mathew Naickomparambil VC We have to know the ways in which the Holy Spirit guides an individual and how to listen to the voice of God. God teaches us to pray in our afflictions and sufferings. What should we pray for? Should we pray that …
