SHORTENED LEFT LEG COMPLETELY HEALED

I am a teacher by profession working in Dubai for the last ten years. In 1990 I met with a road accident and had multiple fractures. I was bedridden for two and a half years with nine major surgeries. My left leg became shortened. In 1993 I attended a retreat at Divine Retreat Centre, for the first time, with crutches. During the Healing service, I was touched by the Lord and the severe knee pain vanished. While the healings were announced I had kept my crutches out of sight of the people but the preacher was announcing that someone who came with crutches was healed. "So also will be the word that I speak – it will not fail to do what I plan for it; it will do everything I send it to do." I felt as though someone was pulling my leg and to the joy of all, especially my mother who looked after me, I could walk to the stage without the usual difficulty. The leg that was short became normal and I was able to walk home without limping!

God also blessed me with a happy married life. Before marriage I had undergone fibroid surgery and fourteen fibroids were removed, a few of them were very large. The doctor said that the fibroids would grow and due to my other conditions, having a child would be difficult and risky. I had undergone fourteen surgeries altogether including the nine on the leg. In spite of all this I was blessed with a healthy and beautiful daughter. In July 2009 I attended the International Couples’ Retreat and glorified God once again. I praise and thank the Lord for working wonders and miracles in my life.

18-YEAR INTESTINE AILMENT HEALED MIRACULOUSLY

I am a Commerce Graduate and a teacher by profession. I attended a retreat at Divine Retreat Centre in 1997 and this is my fourth visit. Since 1980, for eighteen years, I had stomach pain, swelling on my body, and would faint very often. I was hospitalised many times and was under treatment with the best doctors in India, spending lakhs of rupees. The doctors could not diagnose the ailment, as all the reports were normal but my condition remained the same. They assumed that it could be kidney problem or intestinal TB or intestinal cancer. Finally one report in 1997 showed that there was a problem in a ligament between the small and the large intestine which had to be operated. The doctors were not giving any guarantee of total healing. My father was not in favour of this operation. One of his officers spoke to him about Divine Retreat Centre;, so immediately we went and attended our first retreat there in 1997.

I made a good retreat but nothing spectacular happened. There were no visions, no signs, no messages, nor were our names called out. I thought I was the biggest sinner and would have to return empty. After returning to Bombay, there was no complication or pain and I was completely healed. Now it has been eleven and half years since I am enjoying good health. I believe it is the Word of God, "No medicine or ointment cured them. They were restored to health by your word, O Lord, the word which heals all humanity" (Wisdom of Solomon 16:12) that healed me. The doctors were surprised and confirmed that it was indeed a miracle!

OBEDIENCE TO GOD BRINGS GIFT OF NORMAL CHILD

In 2005, we, as a family, attended our first retreat at Divine Retreat Centre. During counselling, the counsellor had a vision and told us that my wife was pregnant. We were nor aware of it. After we returned from the retreat, a test proved positive. But later she started bleeding profusely and the doctor advised an abortion. I agreed for the same but my wife had faith in Jesus and pleaded with me to telephone Divine Retreat Centre and ask for prayers. When I called, the person who answered prayed over my wife through the telephone. The person promised to intercede for my wife and asked us to accept God’s will but not to abort the child. I also received an email message from Divine Retreat Centre advising against an abortion but to trust in God.

The doctor said that the child would be abnormal after birth. Hence I was afraid. But we obeyed God’s message and held on to prayer day in and day out. "We place our destiny in the hands of the Lord, not in the hands of men, because his mercy is as great as his majesty." (Sirach 2:18) When it was time my wife delivered a normal child. When he was three years of age in June 2009 ,we went with him to Divine Retreat Centre to praise and thank the Lord Jesus!.

HANDICAPPED AND BRAIN DAMAGED CHILD COMPLETELY HEALED!

I am working as a welder in Saudi Arabia. I got married in November 1997. My wife and I attended a retreat at Divine Retreat Centre in 1999 for the first time. We did not have a child for nine years. I had taken a lot of treatment but it did not help. After the second retreat in September 2006, we were blessed with a baby girl on 17 July 2007.

Our baby was born handicapped. She also had brain damage. The doctor told us that she would not recognize us. But I had faith in Jesus. I prayed to Him to touch and heal her. My prayers were answered. She, now walks, talks and recognizes everyone. "But God has indeed heard me; he has listened to my prayer. "(Psalm 66:19) In June 2009 we visited DRC for the third time with grateful hearts and attended a thanksgiving retreat. We praise and thank Jesus our Lord and Saviour!

WOMAN LIVES AFTER ALL MEDICAL HOPE GIVEN UP

I suffered a massive cardiac arrest on 25 November 2008 while in my office. I was rushed to Bombay Hospital and nn Angioplasty was done. After the necessary treatment, I was discharged on 1 December 2008. However my condition became very critical and complicated with Pericardial effusion. I began feeling choked and breathless and my Blood Pressure dropped. My doctor advised me to get admitted to one of the local hospitals for emergency as it was late in the night and my residence is very far from Bombay Hospital. All the three nearby hospitals we went to refused to give me any medical help saying that I was a critical case and they could do nothing. They also said that I would die within a couple of hours.

However, my sister who had accompanied me to the hospitals along with some of my good neighbours surrendered me into Jesus’ hands and clung to Him for help as they took me home. They called the priest and I received the Holy Eucharist and the Last Sacrament. I was peaceful and being in a critical condition, unable to talk but only say “Jesus” in my mind. Not a thought had passed in my mind that I would die. I had strong faith that Jesus would save me. Prayer petitions were sent to Divine Retreat Centre and most of the prayer centers. Jesus helped me to make my way back to Bombay Hospital in an oxygen-aided ambulance the next day.

Before I could reach the Bombay Hospital, for a fraction of a second, I saw Jesus hanging on the Cross totally bruised and bleeding. He gave me a message - "Do not be afraid, I am with you." (Is 43:5) After that I went into a coma and I was put on respirators. My condition began deteriorating. My cardiologist said that I would survive only for two days. He tried his best and finally he told my relatives that he could do nothing more and prayers alone perhaps could help!

Everyone prayed fervently. Jesus was so compassionate that with His Healing touch, He brought me out of coma after four days! It was a great joy to everyone in the hospital and to all my people especially to my cardiologist. It is only Jesus who has saved me. He has brought me alive from the threshold of death. He also provided me with the necessary finance. Jesus never fails! "Nothing is too hard for Him." (Jeremiah 32:17) I am grateful to the organization where I am working for their support. I am now back to normal health and have resumed office work. I am thankful to the prayer team at Divine Retreat Centre for their prayers.
