Other Divine Trust Activities
 There are a number of other activities carried out by the Divine Trust. Free education scheme for orphans and street children We have currently placed nearly 250 orphans and street children in residential schools. During the school holidays, these children live with us in the Divine Retreat Centre. We want them to grow up in happy surroundings, experiencing God’s Love. Free meals scheme Volunteers from Divine Retreat Centre provide free midday meals to poor and needy patients in nearby government hospitals daily. This totals to about 700 meals a week. Free self-employment opportunities Every year, the St. De Paul’s Tailoring School in Divine Retreat Centre trains 300 poor young girls to become self-employed. Free admission to retreats We have retreatants coming in from different walks of life. Many of them are from very poor homes and broken financially. There is no charge for the poor to attend the week-long retreats at Divine Retreat Centre.- approximately 1,000 attend free of cost every week. Divine Printers and Publishers We have a full-fledged offset printing unit with modern infrastructure where nearly 400 people are employed. This unit prints the Bible in Malayalam, Hindi, Singhalese and Tamil at a highly subsidised rate. |

Hindi convention DIVYA KRIPA 2012Divine Retreat Centre will be conducting our second Hindi convention from the 27th of May to the 1st of June, 2012. Retreats in Konkani, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and TeluguEvery week, retreats are held in five different regional languages of India, apart from in the local language - Malayalam. The retreats are led by Vincentian priests and supported by powerfully anointed laity of God. |
