St. Mary's Home
 This home, which was established in 1990, is a refuge for rejected widows and abandoned wives and children. More than 150 women and 300 children live here. The Vincentian priests provide them with food, accommodation, education and the dignity of holding a job at the Divine Retreat Centre. The women are assigned to work in various sections of Divine Retreat Centre. They are paid for their work according to their qualifications and abilities. The children are sent to school. The daily schedule for the home is prayer-centred. The day begins and ends with community prayers by all the residents. The Holy Mass is celebrated daily every morning and evening. A visit to the home leaves one with sheer joy – the women are friendly and the children, lovable. Be generous and share your food with the poor. You will be blessed for it (Prov 22:9) |
