Monthly Reflection by
Prayer of the Month
An abode chosen by God - this best describes the location of the Divine Retreat Centre in Muringoor, Kerala, India. Nestled peacefully along the lush banks of the Chalakudy River, its very tranquility is a balm to the soul and the panoramic setting is a sight to behold.
The Divine Retreat Centre has 2 large campuses along both sides of the NH47 – one for the Malayalam retreats and the other for the English and other language retreats. Both campuses have separate retreat halls for each language, along with adequate facilities to serve all the needs of the retreatants.
The Cochin International Airport which opened in 2001 is only a 30 minute drive to the Retreat Centre – a blessing for overseas retreatants. In a first by the Indian National Railways, the Divine Nagar Railway halt was opened in 1996. A total of 8 rail services (4 passenger trains and 4 express trains) stop at this station on weekends – for the convenience of Divine retreatants. The Chalakudy station is only 3 kilometres away.
Divine Retreat Centre is just 2 kilometres away from the town of Chalakudy along NH47 and 30 kilometres away from the city of Trichur.
Just as our bodies need a break from our hectic schedules, our souls need spiritual rest and renewal. Our Lord welcomes you to Divine Retreat Centre, "Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
